This self-service Cloud content management platform (CMS) is centralized and flexible to the styles of different hotels. Also, this tool is scalable allowing each hotel to build its ideal solution by selecting the services it wants to offer to its customers (Wi-Fi, Live TV, Streaming, VOD, BYOD …)

Looking to update all your interfaces in just a few clicks? It has never been easier! Each staff member can be in charge of a part of the configuration of a product. For example, one member of the team can administer the menus of the DSID graphical interface while another has the rights to modify the PDFs.

How does our platform work ?

To get started on our Digital Hub, using Google Chrome as your browser is essential for proper operation of the medium. You can connect to it from anywhere.

Note that the Digital Hub allows you to manage several accounts and user levels simultaneously (Administrator, Customization, Support…)

Via the interface, you can directly send a message to all customers, modify the welcome page (movie, slideshow, music, message) or simply deactivate it.

What are the types of access ?

  • DirectStreams operates around global infrastructure administration and management of customers, partners, locations, products, licenses. This type of access can be split into access by technical teams (global infrastructure) and by business teams (customers, partners, locations, products, licenses).
  • Integrators manage the administration of local infrastructure
  • Customers control product administration (not being within the integrators’ business)
  • Various rights holders may have view-only access such as VOD content providers

Numa rede Wi-Fi de hotel clássica, todos os dispositivos dos utilizadores (visitantes ou hóspedes) estão tipicamente ligados à mesma VLAN (Rede Privada Virtual). Para preservar a confidencialidade, segurança e anonimato dos utilizadores, é necessário isolar os dispositivos uns dos outros para que não possam comunicar diretamente. Este é o papel da função “Client Isolation” (Isolamento de Clientes) disponível na maioria dos pontos de acesso. A comunicação dos dispositivos para a Internet é gerida por um controlador de acesso centralizado. Este controlador de acesso está localizado no LMS para a nossa solução.

PAN classic WIFI
A desvantagem desta arquitetura parece surgir quando se pretende tornar outros dispositivos, como Apple TVs, chaves Chromecast ou outros objetos conectados, acessíveis aos dispositivos dos utilizadores. Uma vez que estes não podem estar na mesma VLAN devido ao isolamento (Client Isolation), é necessário ligá-los a outra VLAN. Para evitar que todos os dispositivos se conectem ao mesmo tempo, é necessário gerir a alocação dos objetos conectados e autenticar os dispositivos dos utilizadores. Esta alocação e autenticação é gerida pelo LMS, mas constitui um gargalo.
PAN CLASSIC WIFI DEVICES
A PAN, ou "Private Area Network", permite que os pontos de acesso criem várias VLANs na rede Wi-Fi (uma por quarto ou uma por convidado), de forma que todos os dispositivos no quarto ou do convidado possam comunicar entre si mas estejam sempre isolados dos dispositivos de outros utilizadores. A vantagem desta arquitetura é a possibilidade de ligar dispositivos como Apple TV, chaves Chromecast ou objetos conectados diretamente à mesma "PAN". Os dispositivos dos utilizadores da PAN podem comunicar diretamente com os últimos sem autenticação e sem gestão de alocação, da mesma forma que num uso doméstico. As PANs podem ser vistas como bolhas nas quais todos os dispositivos (pessoais ou de propriedade do hotel) associados a um quarto ou convidado estão ligados. Nesta arquitetura, o controlo de acesso à Internet deixa de ser centralizado passando a ser distribuído pelos pontos de acesso.

In the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, which we have been facing since mid-March 2020, we give our full support and commitment to our hotel guests.

Today, May 11, 2020 is the first day of the deconfinement and many of our hotel customers have asked us to offer their guests access to hotel information and entertainment services from DirectStreams from their mobile devices (smartphone, tablet, …).

DirectStreams’ DSOne service portal responds positively to these requests and allows hotel guests to access information and entertainment on their mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets:

  • The hotel information portal with up-to-date information provided by the hotel (e.g. COVID information, city maps, restaurant menu, …).
  • A chat module allowing to communicate easily and efficiently with the hotel staff, but also with other guests who wanted to be visible on the chat, or to interact with the chat rooms proposed by the hotel.
  • An access module to live TV channels on its mobile device
  • An integrated telephony module allowing you to use your smartphone instead of your room phone.
  • A reservation module for ordering products or services with direct delivery to the room or to another part of the hotel.
