Επιπλέον, η IPTV χρησιμοποιείται στον ξενοδοχειακό κλάδο για να χαρακτηρίσει μια τηλεοπτική λύση που προσφέρει την προσθήκη ευφυών λειτουργιών στην τηλεόραση, συμπεριλαμβανομένης μιας προσαρμόσιμης διεπαφής με τα χρώματα του καταστήματος (λογότυπα, εικόνες, βίντεο, γραμματοσειρές κ.λπ.).

  • Μια υποκείμενη υποδομή δικτύου IP (Firewall, Switches IGMP και διακομιστές Middleware) 
  • Τερματικά IP στο δωμάτιο, όπως Smart TV ή Set-Top box (που χρησιμοποιούνται για τηλεοράσεις που δεν είναι IP)

Σχετικά με τη λήψη τηλεοπτικών καναλιών, μπορούμε να εργαστούμε σε διαφορετικούς τύπους υποδομών:

  • Είτε σε Full IP: θα έχουμε μια πύλη IPTV που θα μετατρέπει δορυφορικά ή επίγεια σήματα σε σήματα IP στον τεχνικό χώρο. Όλα θα μεταδίδονται πίσω στην Smart TV μέσω του δικτύου Ethernet/IP, ανεξάρτητα από το αν πρόκειται για την πύλη, ροές τηλεόρασης κ.λπ.
  • Εναλλακτικά, εάν διαθέτετε ήδη υποδομή διανομής καναλιών Coax και μια υπάρχουσα κεντρική μονάδα, την οποία θέλετε να διατηρήσετε, μπορούμε απολύτως να τη διατηρήσουμε. Προφανώς, το αποτέλεσμα θα είναι εντελώς διαφανές για τον πελάτη, οπότε θα βρίσκονται στην διεπαφή που βλέπετε στην οθόνη, και όταν θα πηγαίνουν στα τηλεοπτικά κανάλια, θα πραγματοποιούμε την εναλλαγή πηγής μεταξύ του μέρους IP και του επίγειου μέρους.

For security reasons, VOD catalogs are encrypted from the servers to the TV set.

In the room, VOD service is presented in the form of film posters with a simple description per film.
